George Mason RHP Owen Stewart brings innings value, but needs sharper command
Owen Stewart is a senior right-handed pitcher at George Mason whose value is tied more to persistence and experience than gaudy numbers: in 2024, he made 16 appearances with one start and struck out 30 in 29.1 innings, but also posted a 9.51 ERA and issued 21 walks, so the swing skill is clear—can he tighten the zone and limit damage?[1] He’s a noteworthy fit if you want a durable arm with Atlantic 10 experience and academic consistency, but the current profile suggests he’s still more project than plug-and-play.
