Former William & Mary linebacker with special-teams value and nose-for-contact instincts
Zgombic is a physical, team-first linebacker whose value has come from reliability, toughness, and versatility rather than flash; William & Mary listed him at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, and he played in 10 games in 2021 while finishing with three tackles, with an earlier roster showing his development from a redshirt freshman into a junior contributor. He also has a notable all-around football background, including a touchdown reception in a Tribe game note, which suggests usable athleticism and positional flexibility. For a roster fit, he reads like a depth-and-development defender who can compete on special teams and bring energy in sub-packages.[2][5][7][3]
