USI transfer Maddison Depencier brings proven strikeout volume and a winning resume in the circle
Depencier enters Southern Indiana as a junior right-handed pitcher with a strong track record at Iowa Western, where she logged 208 strikeouts in 189.1 innings and helped power a Region 11 title and World Series run. Her profile suggests a durable, attack-minded starter with the competitiveness to work deep into games, plus the academic discipline USI values. The main fit question is upside versus consistency: her 4.66 ERA shows she can be hittable, but her ability to miss bats and handle high-leverage innings makes her a credible rotation option.
