Candace Martino Brings Experienced Guard Depth to Akron
Martino is a 5'7" guard who most recently played at Delaware before joining Akron, giving the Zips a seasoned perimeter piece with Division I experience. Her value is less about flash and more about guard instincts, composure, and fit: players with her profile are typically trusted to handle the ball, make clean decisions, and stabilize a rotation. Publicly available team and profile pages confirm her Akron roster status, but detailed current-season production is not available in the provided sources, so her fit should be judged by how well Akron wants a steady, experienced backcourt contributor rather than a stat-stuffing star.
