Indiana lands a booming leg in Billy Gowers
Billy Gowers enters Indiana with real juice: in the 2025 season at Hawai’i, he averaged 46.2 yards on 49 punts, ranked among the nation’s better punters, and put 25 kicks inside the 20 with just 2 touchbacks. His big differentiator is field-flipping power—plus a long of 67 yards—and he brings unusual maturity after a pro Australian rules background and a late start in American football. If Indiana wants a punter who can change hidden yardage and handle pressure, he looks like a strong fit.
