James Esco brings proven accuracy and award-winning consistency to Jacksonville State
Esco is a veteran place-kicker with a track record of reliability, highlighted by strong field-goal and extra-point numbers and a Fred Mitchell Award honor for excellence on and off the field. ESPN lists him with an 81.5% field-goal rate and 94.1% extra-point rate, which signals a kicker you can trust in routine scoring situations. His value is less about flash than steadiness: he offers a dependable leg, experience in pressure moments, and the kind of low-drama consistency that helps a team convert drive production into points.[3][5]
