Joe Williams brings steady DB depth, not flashy box-score fireworks
Joe Williams has been a reliable Kennesaw State defensive back, with ESPN listing him as a DB and the Owls’ roster showing he arrived as a 2022 signee from Thomasville, Georgia[1][4][13]. His stat line has been modest — ESPN shows limited career production, and Kennesaw State’s 2023 roster/stats note he played in four games that season after appearing in earlier action, which points to a depth-piece role rather than a headline-grabber[1][4]. The appeal is his experience, consistency, and special-teams/value-add profile; the question for any staff is whether they want a tough, lower-variance defensive back who can grow into more snaps[1][4].
