Najdawi’s Citadel legacy: a bruising, block-happy forward who stuffed the stat sheet
Zane Najdawi was one of The Citadel’s most productive bigs, finishing his Bulldogs career with 1,634 points, 736 rebounds and 199 blocks, and he was the only player in Southern Conference history to hit 1,600 points, 700 rebounds and 175 blocks. In his senior season (2018-19), he averaged 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while shooting 49.2% from the field, so the appeal is obvious: physical interior scoring, rim protection and steady two-way impact. He wasn’t just a stat-line guy either—his school bio notes he scored in double figures in all but five games and racked up 16 career double-doubles.
