veteran UIW safety with proven tackle production
Sean Hoeferkamp is a seasoned UIW defensive back whose best card is experience: in the 2016 season, he was a tackle leader for the Cardinals with 57 stops and added 4 pass breakups, showing steady range and reliability in the secondary[3]. His profile points to a physical, assignment-sound safety who can tackle in space and help limit explosive plays[3][4]. The catch: publicly available current-season data is thin, and UIW’s 2026 depth chart highlights other safeties, so his role and impact should be checked against the latest roster/rotation before calling him a lock[1][8].
