veteran Bearkats guard with upside, but limited recent production
Jacoby Bishop is a senior guard for Sam Houston whose appeal is more about experience, guard depth, and role fit than flashy box-score production. In his most clearly documented season at Sam Houston, 2022-23, he played 8 games and averaged 1.6 points in 4.0 minutes, while his profile showed a strong efficiency spike in limited minutes but modest shooting numbers overall. That makes him a low-usage, situational guard whose value depends on toughness, practice competitiveness, and whether a staff wants a steady veteran presence rather than a primary creator.
