Coad Westra brings old-school linebacker grit to App State
Coad Westra is a throwback Appalachian State linebacker profile: physical, dependable, and built around team-first defense rather than flash. His college bio describes him as added depth in the veteran linebacker room and a player who would compete for special teams and playing time, while a camp report notes he flashed with a hard hit to break up a pass—exactly the kind of tone-setting rep coaches love. If you want a disruptive, high-effort, low-drama linebacker with toughness and character, Westra fits the bill.
