Matthew Young gives Dayton a versatile, old-school tight end look
Matthew Young is listed on Dayton’s football roster as a tight end after starting as an H-back, which points to a flexible, do-a-little-bit-of-everything skill set rather than a one-trick target. The key appeal is his positional versatility and physical build, which fit a program that values movement, toughness, and matchup options in the run game and short passing game. If you need a TE who can wear multiple hats and handle dirty work, he’s intriguing; if you want a proven stat-sheet bruiser, the public record is thinner on recent production.
