Elijah Burress brings dual-threat polish and big-play juice to Campbell
Burress is a former high-upside quarterback prospect who showed real production and playmaking ability in high school, including over 5,000 passing yards and 2,300 rushing yards while also leading Campbell’s offense in 2016 before injuries interrupted his run. In the 2025 recruiting cycle, he was ranked as a 3-star receiver by multiple outlets, with evaluations pointing to solid size, athleticism, and versatile skill usage. The appeal here is obvious: he’s a competitive, multi-dimensional athlete with quarterback instincts and field vision, a useful fit if a team wants creativity, toughness, and upside more than a pure stat-line merchant.
