Cole Crafton brings legit power tools and rising upside to Illinois
In the 2025 summer season, Crafton hit .305 with 6 home runs, 29 RBIs, 43 hits, and 72 total bases for Lima Locos, flashing the left-handed power and physicality that made him a top Illinois prospect. He’s a 6-foot-3, 200-pound outfielder with a strong athletic base, plus-impact bat speed, and a reputation for adding strength and speed—exactly the kind of high-ceiling, corner-outfield profile that can change a lineup fast. He also already showed he can handle pressure, earning a key first career home run for Illinois in 2026, so yes, there’s some real “watch this space” energy here.
