Mike Villani is a scrappy run-generator with pop and speed for Stony Brook
In the 2026 season, Stony Brook infielder Mike Villani appeared in 41 games and made 32 starts, hitting .238 with a .364 on-base percentage, 24 runs, 17 RBI, 25 walks, and 11 steals; he also added two home runs and seven multi-hit games. He looks like the kind of player who helps a lineup in a dozen small ways: patience, baserunning, situational value, and enough bat-to-ball pop to punish mistakes. The differentiator is the combo of grinder energy and upside—useful if you want a pesky, competitive middle-infield type who can create chaos without needing perfect timing.
