Nebraska OL Darren DeLone: Big-bodied, scholarship trailblazer with Huskers pedigree
Darren DeLone is a 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle in Nebraska’s 2004 roster, and he stood out enough as a JUCO transfer to become the first scholarship junior-college addition for Nebraska in 30 years, a rare marker of trust and upside.[2][3] Earlier Huskers coverage also noted he was undergoing performance testing and could return to practice, suggesting his availability had been a storyline.[1] For a team, that profile points to a power-built lineman with program-level significance and developmental value rather than just raw stats.[2][3]
