Mason Midgett brings depth, discipline, and a blue-collar LB profile to South Dakota
Midgett is a high-motor linebacker for South Dakota whose value shows up in the dirty work: he’s a versatile depth piece, a former All-State honorable mention at Grandview High, and a player with academic and family-athlete pedigree that usually translates to steadiness and coachability. In his 2023 season with the Coyotes, he played in four games and recorded his first tackle in the regular-season finale, hinting at a developing contributor rather than a finished product. If you want an instinctive, hard-nosed linebacker with upside and low-drama reliability, he’s worth a closer look.
