Makayla Madrid is a middle-order bat with pop and polish for UTSA
Madrid has emerged as a dangerous run producer for UTSA, following a 2025 season in which she hit .259 with 22 hits, five doubles, four home runs, 22 RBIs, seven multi-RBI games, and a perfect fielding percentage; in March 2026 she was named American Player of the Week after hitting .467 with an OPS of 1.567, six RBIs, two homers, and three doubles. The differentiator is her blend of power, clutch production, and defensive reliability, plus a strong high-school résumé as a catcher with elite contact and power. She looks like a fit for teams needing offense without giving away consistency behind the plate or in the field.
