Minnesota WR Brian Smith is listed on the Gophers roster, but current on-field impact is unclear
Brian Smith is a Minnesota wide receiver on the 2026 roster, but publicly available current stats and role details are limited, so his present value is more about roster potential than proven production[2][7]. The clearest differentiator is availability: he remains in the program, which matters in a wide-open receiver room where the Gophers are still sorting out targets and pecking order for 2026[10][12]. For a team evaluation, he looks like a depth-piece or developmental fit rather than an established impact starter right now[2][7].
