veteran FIU DB with experience and steady production
Malik Jones is a seasoned FIU defensive back whose value comes from reliability, game experience, and solid tackling rather than flashy stat lines. In the 2006 season, he played in 11 games with two starts and posted 13 tackles, including a six-tackle outing against Alabama and a 40-yard kickoff return against Bowling Green; his career totals through the available FIU data show 19 tackles across his time with the program. He looks like the kind of disciplined, rotational DB who helps a secondary stay organized, competes hard, and brings toughness on special teams.
