Maddex Labuda is a high-upside Quinnipiac arm with late-inning trust
Maddex Labuda, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound sophomore right-hander for Quinnipiac in the 2026 season, has become a dependable bullpen piece with starter experience and the kind of strike-throwing profile coaches love. He earned a win in Quinnipiac’s 13-0 victory over New Haven and delivered a scoreless ninth with two strikeouts in a win over Saint Peter’s, showing he can handle leverage without blinking. His appeal is simple: size, mound presence, and flexibility to work multiple roles make him a useful fit for a team that values toughness and matchup depth.
