6-3 North Texas guard whose role has been more about roster depth than box-score production
Mattu is a 6-3 guard from Lewisville, Texas who has been a redshirt sophomore/upperclass roster piece at North Texas, but the publicly available stats show very limited on-court production, with RealGM listing near-zero career NCAA numbers and his 2023-24 roster entry noting he left the team for personal reasons. [1][2][3] The reason to care here is mostly fit-based: he brings guard size and local-program familiarity, but there is not enough evidence in the available data to label him a proven rotation piece or impact performer yet.
