Southern Miss edge with proven pass-rush juice
Akeem Lockett brings the kind of edge experience teams covet: he’s listed as a Southern Miss defensive end and was credited with 34 solo tackles and 5 sacks in the available profile data, suggesting a player who can finish plays and create backfield disruption. He’s a classic disruptive front-seven fit—physical, productive, and familiar with the program’s expectations. That said, the public info is light on 2026-specific production, so this looks more like a steady veteran presence than a headline-grabbing stat monster.
