McKay Whitaker gives Bellarmine a lefty bat with size and versatility
In the 2025 season, McKay Whitaker flashed real utility for Bellarmine as a 6-foot-3 left-handed INF/OF who appeared in 17 games, hit .278 in ASUN play, and delivered a three-run homer plus a season-high four RBI against Lipscomb. He looks like a versatile, high-upside fit because he can cover multiple spots, has some pop, and has already shown he can contribute in pressure moments off the bench. The 2026 season has been quieter statistically, so the appeal is more about his physical projection, defensive flexibility, and left-handed offensive value than gaudy numbers.
