veteran JSU linebacker with walk-on grit and scholarship value
David Segers has been a longtime Jacksonville State defender whose value is built on toughness, persistence, and earned trust—he started as a walk-on and later earned a scholarship, a strong sign of coaches believing in his work ethic and reliability. Publicly available current production data is thin, so the best read is that he profiles as a depth-and-special-teams linebacker who brings physicality, discipline, and blue-collar energy. If your team wants a no-drama linebacker with proven buy-in and program-first attitude, Segers fits the mold.
