Jared Tynes brings developmental depth to Maine’s defensive line
Tynes is a young Maine defensive lineman who has already seen the field in multiple games, including five appearances in 2024 after three games in 2023, and he has started building a college résumé with his first tackle coming against Hampton and another at Delaware.[4] At 6'1" and 235 pounds as a redshirt freshman in 2024, he projects as a compact, early-stage line prospect whose value is in developmental upside rather than production right now.[4] If you want a low-ego, still-growing DL body who can be coached up, he’s a reasonable fit—but he’s not yet a proven impact stat producer.[4]
