Durable, record-setting YSU quarterback who thrived in big moments
Kurt Hess was a high-volume, durable quarterback for Youngstown State who started all 45 games and finished as the program’s record holder in completions, attempts and passing yards, which is a strong indicator of consistency and trust from the offense.[8][9] His game was built on production, command and late-game poise, with multiple standout performances in major wins and fourth-quarter drives that showed toughness under pressure.[2][3][6] He looks like a fit for teams valuing veteran leadership, accuracy and composure more than flashy dual-threat upside.[8][9]
