Furman’s 2007 Kick Record Holder with Unmatched Long-Range Precision
Scott Beckler, the Furman Paladins’ kicker (K), is a standout differentiator for his 54-yard field goal set in 2007—a school record that still stands and was only recently surpassed by a 55-yarder in 2015. Though his stats are limited to that era, Beckler’s legacy is defined by his ability to convert extreme-distance kicks under pressure, showcasing rare long-range precision and mental toughness. His 36-yard field goal and consistent kick coverage in key games (e.g., against Richmond in 2024) highlight his reliability in tight moments. Beckler’s intensity, calm demeanor, and clutch performance make him a high-fit kicker for teams needing a game-changer in critical situations. While injury history isn’t documented, his 2007 record remains a benchmark for Furman kickers, proving his enduring impact on the program.
