Peter Minchella was a defense-first, high-IQ Colgate big with academic polish
In his Colgate career, Peter Minchella stood out more for reliability, rim protection, and toughness than for headline scoring—he earned NABC Academic Honor Roll recognition and was praised as the senior who best blended athletics and academics. The most concrete available stats show a senior-year peak of 63 points, 57 rebounds, and 32 blocks, plus a .537 field-goal mark, suggesting efficient interior play and a steady defensive presence. If your team wants a smart, durable, low-ego center who competes and knows his role, he’s the type of glue guy coaches love.
