Veteran RB with Proven Grit, Though 2017 Stats Show Limited Production
Blake Martin is a senior running back for the San Diego Toreros whose 2017 season yielded 236 rushing yards on 3.7 yards per carry with 2 TDs and 49 receiving yards, indicating modest production but consistent availability as a walk-on with deep local roots from Canyon Springs High School. His differentiator isn't explosive stats but resilience and team loyalty—sharing a high school lineage with FBS all-time rusher Donnel Pumphrey—suggesting high intensity and a blue-collar mindset. However, with no recent stats beyond 2017 and no evidence of injury history or elite rankings, he’s likely a depth fit for teams valuing experience over upside, not a primary offensive weapon.
