Jaylen Watson brings long, physical DB traits and proven coverage disruption
Watson is a 6-2, 197-pound defensive back with a growing reputation for sticky coverage, physical tackling, and forcing quarterbacks into tight windows; in 2025, he started all 15 games, posted a career-high 64 tackles and two interceptions, and allowed just one touchdown in coverage over his last 24 games, according to team and league analytics. His fit is strongest for a defense that values press-man versatility, blitz support, and reliable run-game effort—he is not just a stat sheet player, but a tough, assignment-sound defender with real week-to-week impact.
