Takara Burse brings two-way guard value and veteran poise to Sacramento State
In the 2014-15 season, Takara Burse was a steady Sacramento State guard who played in all 34 games, started 21, and averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, good for seventh in the Big Sky in steals.[1] Her value goes beyond the box score: she was a disruptive perimeter defender, a willing connector, and a dependable all-around contributor who showed she could impact winning without needing high usage.[1][11] If you want a smart, scrappy, do-a-little-of-everything guard who can pressure the ball and keep an offense organized, Burse is the kind of player coaches love to have in the mix.[1][12]
