Florida State’s veteran back with almost no recent on-field footprint
Middleton is a depth-chart veteran at Florida State, but the latest reliable stat line available shows just 1 carry for 1 yard in the 2017 season, so there isn’t enough recent production to sell him as a current featured back[1]. What stands out is less box-score flash and more the profile: a compact 5'10", 194-pound runner who has been around the program long enough to understand the grind, but he’s not an obvious fit for a team needing a proven, high-volume playmaker right now[2].
