South Carolina’s steady, high-IQ catcher and clubhouse engine
In the 2026 season, Winters has remained a trusted everyday catcher for South Carolina, playing in all 55 games and ranking third in the SEC with eight runners caught stealing, even while her bat has been quieter than her 2025 breakout. She paired elite defense with a real offensive surge in 2025, hitting .331 with 6 home runs, 53 RBI, and 13 doubles, which earned her All-Region and Academic All-America recognition. The fit is obvious: tough, mature, high-standard player, local leader, and the kind of catcher who quietly runs a staff and a dugout.
