6-3 post presence turned coachable, high-IQ frontcourt fit
Popovec was a productive, physical 6-3 forward who gave Northwestern size, rebounding, and reliable effort off the bench, then quickly transitioned into coaching after her playing career, which speaks to her basketball IQ and understanding of the game. At Northwestern in 2012-13, she appeared in 27 games, posted a season-best 9 points and 9 rebounds, and earned Big Ten Sportsmanship recognition and Academic All-Big Ten honors, signaling a low-maintenance, team-first player with strong character. She fits teams that value toughness, rebounding, and discipline more than pure scoring punch.
