Former Western Illinois WR Retired in 2025 – No Current College Performance
Jaelon Acklin is not a current college athlete; he is a former wide receiver who played at Western Illinois (2013–2017), then spent five seasons in the CFL (2019–2024) with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Ottawa RedBlacks, catching 319 passes for 4,193 yards and 14 TDs, before announcing his retirement on February 4, 2025. His differentiators include elite route-running precision, a 6'0" frame with 190-lb agility, and a high-intensity, team-first mentality that made him a special-teams contributor. He has no recent injury history post-retirement, and his personality is described as disciplined, reliable, and fiercely competitive. Since he is retired, he is not a fit for any current team, and there is no current performance data to analyze. You should care about him as a proven CFL veteran with a single-season Western Illinois record of 1,369 receiving yards (2017), but not as an active prospect.
