Jack Zeller gives Butler a versatile freshman bat with a proven contact track record
Zeller entered Butler as a **UTL freshman** with strong high-school production and a reputation as a reliable, high-average hitter, including a .405 senior average and .505 OBP on the roster bio, but his early college results have been modest as he has hit .152 in 2026 per D1Baseball. His appeal is versatility, switchable lineup value, and a history of making consistent contact rather than relying on pure power, which makes him a useful fit if a team wants a developmental player with bat-to-ball skills and positional flexibility.
