Akron’s Redshirted Freshman Guard with Elite High School Scoring Pedigree
Alex Sullivan, a 5-10 guard from Painesville, OH, is not currently active for the Akron Zips—he left the program after two seasons (2008–2010) without playing a collegiate game, having redshirted his freshman year [2][7]. His differentiator is his explosive high school scoring: at Riverside High, he averaged 27.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game, holding all scoring records there [2]. While his intensity and scoring instinct were evident early, his lack of college game experience, small stature, and departure from Akron mean he offers no current performance data or fit for a competitive college team today. He later committed to women’s basketball at University of Rochester (NCAA D3), indicating a shift in sport and level [4][5].
