Mia Gagliardi brings power, run production, and catcher upside to Virginia Tech
Gagliardi is a high-ceiling catcher whose best selling point is impact bat potential: at Kingwood, she won the 2025 21-6A District MVP after hitting .445 with 14 home runs and 57 RBI, and she was a 2025 state champion and a 2024 VYPE Player of the Year finalist.[5][4][2] In Virginia Tech’s 2026 stats, she has seen limited early offensive production so far, but her recruiting profile and accolades suggest a power-hitting, run-driving catcher who can change games if the bat translates.[7][6]
