Derek Bartek is FDU’s strikeout-happy bullpen arm with swing-and-miss stuff
In the 2026 season, Derek Bartek has been a key Fairleigh Dickinson reliever, making 13 appearances out of the bullpen and ranking second among FDU relievers with 34 strikeouts; he also flashed real late-game dominance by striking out the side in a March 4 win and opening the season with six straight punchouts. The knock? His command has been inconsistent at times, so he looks like a high-upside, power-leaning righty whose fit depends on whether a staff can sharpen the control without losing the bat-missing edge.
