Cal’s LHP Garrett Mackowiak is a live-arm depth piece with room to rise
Garrett Mackowiak, a junior left-hander for California in the 2026 season, has the kind of profile teams like to poke at: a compact 5'9" frame, left-on-left utility, and a track record of getting swings and misses across multiple stops. In 2026, his early numbers have been uneven, but his appeal is obvious as a pitcher who can attack hitters from the left side and give Cal roster flexibility. He’s a useful fit for teams betting on development, deception, and competitive edge over flashy power stuff.
