Cooper Harris gives Alcorn a middle-of-the-order bat with pop, production, and grit
In the 2026 season, Alcorn State first baseman Cooper Harris emerged as a run producer, sharing the team lead with 3 home runs and 29 RBIs while posting a .263 average in 114 at-bats; he also had a standout 5-for-5 game with 4 RBIs and 4 runs against Jackson State, and Alcorn noted he missed the final three series because of injury. The profile here is simple: Harris brings right-handed power, extra-base punch, and clutch-hit upside, which makes him a fit for teams that value a physical first baseman who can change a game fast when he’s healthy and locked in.
