Experienced ACU INF with defensive versatility, but bat has lagged in 2026
Alaina Hampton is a senior infielder for Abilene Christian who has logged meaningful starts across shortstop, second base, and third base, giving her real lineup flexibility and infield utility. In the 2026 season, her offense has struggled (.077 average with 1 HR and 5 RBI), so her value is more about defensive coverage, experience, and being a trusted option in multiple spots than carrying a lineup. If a team needs a veteran, versatile INF who can help stabilize the defense and accept a role, she fits better than if it needs a middle-of-the-order bat.
