a disruptive Hokies linebacker with legit tackle pop
Alex Markogiannakis has shown real activity for Virginia Tech, including a 4-tackle outing in the 2026 season and multiple plays in the tackle column that suggest he’s around the ball and not just sightseeing out there[1]. At 5'9" and 209 pounds, he profiles as a compact, physical linebacker who can fit the run and bring energy, but his size means the best fit is likely a role that prizes quickness, aggression, and dependable assignment football over pure length[2]. If you want a low-drama, high-motor defender who can flash in space and keep things honest inside, he’s worth caring about.
