Zui Shelton brings game-breaking speed to Portland State’s receiver room
Zui Shelton is a freshman wide receiver for Portland State in the 2026 season, and the early buzz is all about one thing: speed. Portland State’s coaches described him as a “speed, speed, speed” addition who makes the Vikings faster and brings an infectious, competitor-first personality to the program. At St. Ignatius Prep, he posted 56 catches for 725 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, plus track pedigree as a state 100-meter and 4x100-meter finalist. At 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds, he profiles as a quick, explosive slot/playmaker fit rather than a power target.
