Vic Viramontes brings veteran, high-ceiling linebacker grit to UNLV
Viramontes is a former JC All-American linebacker who arrived at UNLV with Power Five interest and a reputation for versatility, maturity, and classroom discipline, including Academic All-Mountain West honors. His path is unusual—he started as a quarterback, then converted to linebacker—so the appeal is less about raw box-score flash and more about instincts, toughness, and experience. For a roster, he looks like the kind of seasoned, physically mature defender who can help stabilize a room and raise the standard.
