Justus Tavai brings a disruptive, high-motor interior presence to the Aztecs
In his 2022 San Diego State season, Justus Tavai posted 38 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 5 tackles for loss, and an interception, showing a rare blend of interior penetration and playmaking for a defensive lineman.[7][12] His differentiators are production in multiple categories, dependable size at 6-foot-3 and 290 pounds, and a track record of making impact plays in big moments; he also earned Polynesian College Football Player of the Year recognition, which underscores his standing among peers.[7][8] He looks like a strong fit for a team that wants a tough, active DL who can collapse pockets and finish plays, not just occupy blockers.[7][8]
