SDSU’s Emerging RB with Explosive Breakaway Speed and Relentless Drive
Greg Peitz, a running back for South Dakota State’s Jackrabbits, is gaining attention for his elite breakaway speed and high-intensity running style that consistently turns short gains into explosive plays. During the 2024 spring game, Peitz contributed to SDSU’s offense scoring three drives in a 21-17 win over the defense, showcasing his ability to thrive in live-game pressure [1]. His differentiators include a rare combination of agility, vision, and a physical, no-hesitation approach that makes him a clutch performer in critical moments. While official season stats aren’t yet public for 2025–2026, Peitz’s spring performance and coach feedback suggest he’s a rising threat in the FCS. He’s injury-free, highly coachable, and brings a team-first mentality—making him a strong fit for any program seeking a dynamic, reliable RB with upside.
