Maurice Williams brings speed, depth, and special-teams grit to ASU’s safety room
Maurice Williams is a young, high-upside Arizona State safety whose value comes from range, physicality, and special-teams utility rather than gaudy stat lines. In his first year at Houston in 2024, he appeared in 10 games and logged 99 snaps, with most of that work coming on special teams, and ASU added him in 2025 as a former four-star-level defensive back with speed and closing burst that can play in both man and zone looks. He fits a team that wants versatility, toughness, and developmental upside.
