former Kansas guard making his mark as a winning JUCO coach
Witherspoon is no longer a Kansas roster player, but his current value comes from his track record as a tough, proven winner behind the bench: the former Kansas walk-on and national champion guard has led Dodge City Community College to an Elite Eight run and 19 wins in the 2025-26 season, signaling strong leadership, accountability, and player development. He stands out for competitive edge and championship experience more than box-score production, making him appealing to programs that want a coach who understands role players, culture, and how to maximize effort.
